Seeing What God Sees and Saying What God Says (1 Samuel 10:1-6)
Roger Thrower, Unknown DatePart of the Praying For the Next Generation series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
Matthew 27:51 -And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split.
Mark 9:29 - And he said to them, “This kind cannot bedriven out by anything but prayer.”
Isaiah 49:24-25
24 Can the prey be taken from the mighty,
or the captives of a tyrant be rescued?
25 For thus says the LORD:
“Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken,
and the prey of the tyrant be rescued,
for I will contend with those who contend with you,
and I will save your children.
Ezekiel 37
Proverbs 17:22 - A joyful heart is good medicine, but
a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are indeed cut off.’
God declares that
13 And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people.
14 And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I will do it, declares the LORD.”
1 Corinthians 10:11 - Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come.
The Lord has a mighty anointing He is placing on this next generation.
Although they are looking for what is lost and their parents are worried, the Lord knows exactly where they are.
The Lord has provision for them coming to them through God’s people. They will accept it.
In the midst of enemies of God’s people, they will encounter a group of worshippers who hear God and speak for him.
The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon them. They will hear God and speak what he is saying.
They will be changed into a different person by the Spirit of the Lord.
