There is a Way (Proverbs 4:12)
John Frederick, October 6, 2024Part of the Acts: "Returning to our Roots" series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
Research has shown that across a wide array of psychological events, people tend to focus more on the negative as they try to make sense of the world. Pay more attention to negative events than positive ones. Learn more from negative outcomes and experiences. That's our negativity bias. We humans have a propensity to give more weight in our minds to things that go wrong than to things that go right—so much so that just one negative event can hijack our minds in ways that can be detrimental to our work, relationships, health, and happiness.
