The Lord is Faithful (Psalm 12:6)

What is amazing about our Lord’s faithfulness to us is that He has factored in our humanness. By that I definitely mean our propensity to try to figure out his will and do it in our own strength without him.

But amidst their human frailty and limitations,
amidst the long waiting and battles with doubt,
amidst the outrageous level of promise the Lord made to his servants, He came through for them.

It did not always look like what they thought it would look like when they arrived.

Joshua 21:43-45
Thus, the LORD gave to Israel all the land that he swore to give to their fathers. And they took possession of it, and they settled there. 44 And the LORD gave them rest on every side just as he had sworn to their fathers. Not one of all their enemies had withstood them, for the LORD had given all their enemies into their hands. 45 Not one word of all the good promises that the LORD had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.

John 14:1-3
Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

Revelation 21:9-11
Then came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues and spoke to me, saying, “Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.
