Luke 17:11-19, Psalm 136
When is the last time you took the time to count your blessings? Counting your blessings is a simple exercise in genuine, heartfelt thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is:
1. PLAIN, GOOD MANNERS.
*The benefit to you is that expressing genuine, heartfelt
thankfulness increases your like-ability and favor to those you are thankful
* Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. Eph. 5:4
2. THE PROTOCOL OF ENTRY INTO GOD’S PRESENCE.
*The benefit to you is that expressing genuine, heartfelt thanksgiving guards your heart from descending into mere meaningless religious ritual
*TOWDAH – thanks for what God is going to do, a sacrifice of praise, a procession of worshippers
* PSALM 50, Isaiah. 29:13, Hebrews 13;15
3. SPIRITUAL WARFARE.
*The benefit to you is that expressing genuine, heartfelt
thanksgiving is an entry point for God to release His victory in your behalf
*2 Chronicles 20:1-23
