Building An Altar (Genesis 12:1-2)

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BUILD AND ALTAR?
Building an altar is establishing God‘s destiny in your heart.
An altar requires two things:
1) A place.
2) A sacrifice.
- Abraham built altars out of stones, which represent hard things. He gathered the stones and put them in order before the Lord and offered a sacrifice in worship.
Today:
1) The place of the altar is your heart.
2) The sacrifices we bring before God are the hard things (heart issues) of life. We put them in order before Him and we sacrifice our self-will.
