Why We Belong to Christ (John 6:1-69)

1. Jesus Christ has complete authority over all the human race.
2. We tend to think in terms of our temporary existence. Jesus in his earthly ministry was thinking in terms of our eternity.
3. Redemption is the fact that a payment was paid. The debt against us was not simply viewed as canceled but is fully paid.
Ransom is the word for the actual payment, which is the body, blood, and death of Jesus Christ.
