Do You Qualify? (Luke 4:1-19)

Roger Thrower, September 6, 2015
Part of the Put God First series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

1. You have to focus on what God is doing now to get to what God is doing next or you won’t have the strength for what’s next.
* You have to win in the desert to walk into your destiny.
* People don’t make it into their destiny in Christ because something else other than Jesus comes first.

2. In order to receive the ministry of Jesus you qualify if you are broke, broken, bound or blind.
* You can have a big bank account and a bankrupt life.
* Blindness is often a sign of broken-heartedness. A person can be blind to a heavenly father who loves them because of an earthly father who broke their heart.

3. Even when your sins have wrecked your life Jesus will restore you when you look to him.
* Numbers 21:4-9
* For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Cor. 5:21)
