Our Victory (Revelation 19:1-21:27)

Part of the Life in the Spirit Series series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Jesus Christ is Lord of All. He gives eternal life through relationship with Himself and the forgiveness of sins. Then propels us into victory in Him. To live in his victory we must know:

1. Jesus’ victory is our victory.
*And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the un-circumcision of your flesh, God has made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by cancelling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. 15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him. Col 2:13-15

2. His victory is certain for believers.
* For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith. 1 John 5:5

3. Our Thankfulness appropriates His victory.
* But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. 2 Cor. 2:14
* When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” ‘O, death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 15:54-57
